SUPER BOWL!!!

Was that an AMAZING game or what??? Sorry Patriots fans, but I love a good spoiler, especially when the Pats are on the losing end. And serioulsy how the HELL did the Giants get into the Super Bowl in the first place? And how the HELL did Manning get out of that sack? How long do we think before Tommy Boy stops crying?

Anyway, last night was fun. A few of us Peace Corps trainees went into Antigua and watched the game on satelite at a sports bar. I felt very unified with all my stateside family and friends who were doing the same thing. But now it's back to life in Guatemala. Hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did. More updates on life in Central America to come.

Hi darling!! I am excited to hear that you were watching the Super Bowl in Guatamala like I was here! I have to say though, I will NOT be reading your blog during my classes anymore, because I nearly busted up laughing when you were pondering how long Tommy boy would be crying for! It's a good thing I wasn't caught laughing! =) I miss you terribly, but glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself. Keep the updates coming!!

Love you!

That is so cool that you were able to watch the super bowl. It was such a great game and I don't even care that much for football. You'll have to let us know when you get the lovely care package that we all sent done to you.
I've been working on my research paper these past weeks and I really miss having a personal editor. (tear)I actually have to work on my paper ahead of time so I can have Mr.Pow check it.(i know..im a slacker)

Hi Sister. I've been reading your blog but I didn't know how to comment until just now. I am technologically challenged. But I'm figuring it out. You'd be so proud of me... I've been actually attending class AND doing homework! Can you believe it? My fist exams are next week. (cross your fingers!)Anyway, just wanted to drop by and say hello. Talk to you soon!

KRISTINA!!!
That's so cool that you were able to watch the Super Bowl! It was an amazing game!!! I sat down in front of the T.V. with my homework because I thought the game was going to be a bore since the Patriots had a perfect season. I thought for sure that they were going to win haha but I wanted the gaints to win anyways. So yeah basically the completion of my hw didn't happen until after the game was over! Well I hope that all is well and can't wait to hear more about guatemala! Love you cousin!

Hey Kristina:

Glad to hear that you got to watch the Super Bowl but really, that was so last week ago. Really, it was last week. Now the buzz about town is the Lakers and the new guy Paul Gasol...I think they are headed to the playoffs. Amazing what a little money will do.

Hola Mi Melocotón, es su padre!! I have no idea if that translates very well, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Got your message and no, we haven't changed the vaca plans for December. I reviewed a few properties and the research may come in handy for a future trip to the Carribean coast, but we'll keep our reservation as is for now.

Yeah, I'm with you on the "Gints" role of David vs Goliath. I haven't felt that strong about the Super Bowl in a long while. Watching that smug Belichick running onto the field, nearly running over a ref and then leaving his team with one second on the clock is an image I hope is not soon forgotten! He knows his x's and o's, but is a PR nightmare for the NFL and deserved to be on the losing side of the field. Not much of a Brady basher, but looks like he won't be getting many marriage proposals these days!!

It was nice to see Peyton cheering his little brother on and the 5th receiver making the latest "the catch". It was truly one of the great super bowls, given the many subplots AND you got to see it from a Guatemalan sports bar to boot!

You'll be happy to know your fellow alumnus, Turiaf, has been doing very well for the Lakers this season. He's filled in for a few injured players early in the season. With the addition of Gasol, he is back to the bench, but still gets in to do some damage.

Michael took his first lesson behind the wheel today. I saw the teacher put on a helmet as they drove off, but gave him a thumbs up when they returned. Mom and I took him to a movie and have dinner at Chile's. We sat at Trisha's station and recieved fantastic service!

Anywho, we'll try to hook up tomorrow with you for Michael's bday. Miss you muy mas (don't laugh at my espanol). Grande love at you, Daddy. ps I'll try to get used to this blog thing without writing a book each posting!?

Thanks for be-leaf-ing in me! haha!

Love and miss you terribly,
